Chemical peels in the summer time -
Chemical peels have anti-aging, moisturizing, brightening and, in the case of acne and other skin issues, preventive properties. For women (and men!) who stick to a specific skincare regimen throughout the year, summer peels can prolong the effects of other more intensive exfoliation treatments.
I recommend them as preventive care if you want to enjoy glowing skin long after the summer sun has set, rather than repairing damage that has occurred after a few months of neglect.
Summer chemical peels use mild acids that do not cause visible exfoliation or flaking of the skin. Even if the skin is remodeling itself after the exfoliating treatment, this process is invisible to the naked eye.
Azelaic acid for discoloration and pigmentation
Azelaic acid is a safe chemical that can be used throughout the year and even if you plan on enjoying some time in direct sunlight. This acid effectively handles several problems.
1. It reduces hyperkeratosis of the skin and therefore works well in the treatment of rosacea.
2. It has an anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effect.
3. It prevents discoloration.
4. It is a blessing for shallowly vascularized skin battling rosacea and erythema.
5. It has a rejuvenating effect, which is why it is part of the anti-aging treatment of problematic skin.
Almond (or mandelic) acid
This summer peeling option will work if your skin is far from smooth because of pimples and blackheads. Bitter almond acid is used for summer chemical peels because it has a large-sized molecule that slowly passes through the stratum corneum and does not cause irritation. I recommend using this in the summer particularly in the case of skin with blackheads, folliculitis and follicular acne. In scientific terms, the structure of the mandelic acid is similar to a broad-spectrum antibiotic in that it has antibacterial properties. This is good for oily skin because it normalizes the secretion of sebum and prevents the aging of skin by stimulating the production of collagen and brightening skin tone.
Ferulic acid has only recently gained popularity in the beauty industry. It is a naturally occurring acid in many plants, such as coffee, wheat and rice. It has several benefits, including protecting skin from free radicals, which accelerate aging because of the damage they cause skin cell DNA and collagen fibers.
The attack of free radicals increases after excessive sun exposure in the summer, which is why I recommend chemical peels with ferulic acid. This is a great treatment option before a holiday or if you spend a lot of time in the sun, do water sports or just enjoy sunbathing. In fact, after exposure to UV rays, ferulic acid can also help reduce oxidative stress. I use ferulic acid not just at the end of summer, but also throughout the year because of all these amazing properties.
How to chose good lash stylist? Well, it is not that easy. I too made some mistakes and learnt the hard way. I hope you won't have to.
Lash extensions are very popular these days but it is not alwasy easy to find lash technician aware of all know hows, professionally trained. It is precise work and takes a ot lot of practice.
My first experince with lash extensions in Zug Switzerland was terrible although I visited someone who was recommneded to me by one of my dear clients.
Lash extesions can go wrong if you don't look at the portfolio and if you don't know what you want. Although my lash extensions session was disappointing for many reasons (too thick, too close to the skin and therefore painful and so on) at least I know I am better than my competitors in Zug and I offer true work which is l ight, looks natural (if this is what you wish for) and does not damage your natural lashes. Lash extensions I offer in Zug are also soft to touch and comfortable to wear. Although I don't know much about Kim Kardashian style application and I don't offer mega volume (yet) I know well what kind of quality I want to offer to my clients and what is unacceptable.
Hygiene - sanitized hands and tools are as important as right type of glue and correct application. When someone is working around your eyes you really should be sure the tools are sanitized.
Trainings and certification - Hands on experience is very important here and if you are not sure you can ask if your chosen technician went through proper trainings or perhaps learnt it from a video... Videos are useful but they don't replace proper training, believe me.
Time - The process of full lash application normally takes about 2,5-3 hours and this is also for very experienced stylist. We apply 1 or more fake lashes to each natural lash so it can't be done quickly. We need enough time for adhesive to dry. If we go too fast the lashes could stick together which is messy and very uncomfortable to wear. Good things take time.Lash extensions is and should be very detailed, precise work.
Self care is extremely important. This is particularly true for those of us living fast-paced lives where we never seem to have time for anything. You could be an artist working on commission deadlines, a sales clerk going about a daily grind or a high functioning professional; juggling high profile meetings with paper work. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do, if you aren’t careful, life today can burn you out!
There are a number of hair removal techniques used today. We have tried everything from shaving to electrolysis. This being said, even decades in, waxing seems to be a reliable go to for most people. Why is this so? We’re going to go over how waxing works, why it is preferred and what its advantages are over the course of this blog.
Many of us find the idea of taking a few hours off the day to hit the spa rather inviting. You just sit back and relax, lose yourself in a blissful setting while you’re pampered and taken care of.
Spas offer a variety of treatments, each as enticing and attractive as the next.
So how does one go about deciding, what potentially could be the best spa treatments for relaxation, body pain, beauty or whatever else one may need?
We’re going to use this blog to help those still at odds learn how to pick the ideal spa treatment!
